John Bell Pipeline Equipment Co Ltd recently rebranded their fleet of three trucks, recognised for their bright green colours and daily deliveries to customers in the North-East of Scotland. The main sponsors of Highland League football team Inverurie Loco Works FC have designed one of their iconic trucks black and red to commemorate 10 years of sponsorship at the club.

Following discussions between Mark Skinner (Managing Director John Bell Pipeline) and Barry Gibb (Committee of Inverurie Locos FC) on how to raise awareness of the club and the vital support John Bell Pipeline provides, Mr Skinner proposed to have one of the trucks designed in black & red, Inverurie Loco FC’s team colours.

On revealing the new trucks the players also got an opportunity to meet and have their photograph taken with Adam Rooney, who plays as a striker for the Scottish Premier League team Aberdeen FC. Adam previously played for Stoke City and was a regular first-team member for Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He played for Oldham Athletic prior to joining Aberdeen in January 2014.

John Bell Pipeline have been main sponsors of Inverurie Locos FC for 10 seasons and during that time have also sponsored Colony Park Juniors and Colony Juveniles supporting all age groups in the local community. The new trucks have gone down well with the Committee members who have welcomed the creative idea and thought behind it.

Eddie Innes, Chairman of Inverurie Locos Works FC commented “Due to the generous sponsorship provided by John Bell Pipeline over the last 10 years it has allowed our club to be in the top half of the league which was a great achievement. We are continually challenging in the hunt for trophies and over the last 10 years we have been runners up in season 2006/7 and 2013/14 and won the Aberdeenshire shield in 2013/14 so all I would say thank you John Bell Pipeline for your support which is most appreciated”.

Shaun Campbell of Colony Park Juveniles commented “It is great to see a local business sponsor football in Inverurie, from grass roots up to highland league and for so long. Colony Juveniles are very appreciative of this sponsor”.

Rodger Langtree of Colony Park Juniors commented “Colony Park Juniors, formed in 2011, are extremely grateful for the continued support we receive from our main sponsors, John Bell Pipeline. In our second season we achieved the league and cup double and following promotion to Division 1 (East) we finished 3rd in the league, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Super League. We were also awarded the SFA Quality Mark this year. Our aim this coming year is to attain Super League status and with a strengthened squad, great support and continued backing from John Bell Pipeline, this is certainly achievable”.

Mark Skinner commented “We wanted to do something different to show our continued support of the club. Our trucks are always well recognised because of their bright green colour, so we decided to do something different and brand one black & red to promote the Locos and Colony teams”.
